Established magnesium deficiency, either isolated or associated with other deficiency symptoms, accompanied by symptoms such as:

• Hypersensitivity to the active substance and to any of the other ingredients of the preparation.
• Severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min).
• Children under 6 years (effectiveness and safety have not been established).
• Hereditary galactosemia, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or lactase deficiency (due to the presence of lactose in the drug).
• Concomitant use of levodopa (see section 'Interactions with other medicinal products').

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Clinical experience from the use of the drug in a sufficient number of pregnant women has not shown any adverse effects on the occurrence of fetal malformations or foetotoxic effects.
Magnesium B6® forte may only be used during pregnancy if necessary and on the advice of a doctor.

Magnesium passes into breast milk; it is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding if taking the drug is necessary.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Talk to your doctor before taking Stellanin® if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby. The use of Stellanin® is contraindicated during the first trimester of pregnancy. The use of the drug in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy is allowed only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the preparation should be short-lived, limited to small areas of the skin and under medical supervision.

Since it is not known whether the active substance is excreted in breast milk, a decision should be made to discontinue breast-feeding or to discontinue the preparation, taking into account the need for the mother to use it. Contact of the child with the skin surface to which the preparation is applied should be avoided.

Instructions for use and dosage

The preparation is applied to the affected skin surface so that the entire surface of the skin is covered with the preparation. The duration and frequency of use of the drug depends on the severity of the disease and the localization of the process. The daily dose should not exceed 10 g. Occlusive dressings and plasters can also be used.

When treating granulomatous burns, wounds and trophic ulcers with poor exudation, the preparation is applied in an even layer 1.0-1.5 mm thick so that the entire affected area is covered with the ointment, and a sterile gauze bandage is applied . Dressings are changed every 1-2 days when treating burns, and once or twice a day when treating trophic wounds and ulcers. With open treatment of burns, the drug is used 1-2 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the dynamics of epithelization of the wound.

For minor skin injuries (abrasions, cuts, scratches, cracks, scrapes), the drug is applied to the affected area in a thin layer 2 times a day.

If symptoms do not improve or worsen after treatment, or if new symptoms appear, a doctor should be consulted. Use the preparation only according to the indications, routes of administration and dosages specified in the instructions for use.
